- Z-Fold (Accordion Fold): 6 panels folded in alternating zig-zag directions. Ideal for sequential storytelling, process roadmaps, and multilingual summaries where each panel unfolds progressively.

What is the panel size difference between a C-fold (roll fold) and a Z-fold (accordion fold)?
In a standard A4-to-DL C-fold (roll fold), the inner panel must be engineered 2 mm narrower (97 mm) than the front and middle panels (100 mm each). This allows the inside flap to tuck neatly inside without buckling the brochure spine. In a Z-fold, all three panels measure exactly equal at 99 mm.
Why is 157gsm silk paper recommended over standard 80gsm copy paper for brochures?
157gsm silk art paper (caliper ~0.15 mm) provides high opacity (higher than 94%), preventing dark reverse-side graphics from showing through. The silk coating enhances photographic color vibrancy while minimizing greasy fingerprint marks when handled by conference delegates.
What is mechanical scoring and why does it prevent cracked folds?
On coated papers 157gsm and heavier, folding along the paper grain without scoring causes the clay coating and cellulose fibers to fracture, revealing an unsightly white cracked line along the spine. We apply inline mechanical channel scoring before folding to compress the fibers and ensure a clean, immaculate edge.
