About this job
Event cards are small printed pieces used at conferences: a branded hand-out, a giveaway insert, a delegate card or a keepsake. Technology companies in Singapore use them at user conferences and roadshows because a simple card is easy to hand over and easy to carry.
The cards are a deep purple with the logo and event name in white, centred on the face. Solid colour with a single white mark keeps the look clean and makes the brand recognisable at a glance. Cards are stacked into packs and shrink-wrapped, which keeps edges clean, stops them scuffing in transit and lets organisers see how many packs are on hand without opening them. The wrapped pack is also easy to place on a registration table.
Cards of this type are normally printed digitally in full colour and trimmed to size. Large solid colour areas are checked at proof stage for even tone and for any marking on the trim edge, and the logo is placed with a safe margin so it is not cut off. Finished cards are counted, stacked in packs, shrink-wrapped and boxed for delivery to the venue.
Questions
What did EZ Print print for Datadog?
Printed card packs for Datadog Live Singapore, shrink-wrapped for the event. The photos show rectangular cards in solid purple with a white dog logo and the words Datadog Live Singapore, stacked into compact packs sealed in clear film, and shown again at an event table.
Can a card with a solid colour background be printed evenly?
Yes, but solid areas show any variation more than photographs do. A proof helps confirm the tone, and good trimming and handling keep the edges clean on dark or saturated colours.
Why shrink-wrap printed cards?
Shrink-wrap holds a stack together, protects the edges and surfaces during handling, and makes packs easy to count and distribute. It is a common finish for event cards and name cards.
What is digital printing used for?
Digital printing suits short and medium runs, event pieces and jobs that need several versions or fast artwork changes between runs. Full colour is available without printing plates.
Can EZ Print print something similar on a deadline?
Same-day and urgent printing available. Subject to artwork approval, payment, print type and production availability. Timing confirmed per job.
