Illuminated channel letters. Shopfront signage client
Shopfront signage client
Illuminated acrylic channel letters with LED lighting, photographed before installation. The image shows a green letter D with a black side return and visible wiring running to a power connection, lying on a floor, one of a set of letters made for a shopfront sign.

About this job
Illuminated channel letters are individual letters made as hollow three-dimensional shapes with lights inside. Shops, restaurants and offices in Singapore use them above entrances and on feature walls because they stand out clearly after dark.
The photo shows a single green letter D made from acrylic, with a black side return around the edge. A pair of wires comes out of the back and runs to a terminal block, showing that the letter is powered separately before it is mounted. Letters are tested like this before installation to make sure each one lights. Acrylic faces diffuse the LED light evenly, and the coloured face and black side give a sharp outline.
Channel letters are produced from a vector file of the lettering, which is cut to shape for the face and side returns. The pieces are assembled into a hollow body, LED modules are fitted inside and the letters are wired and tested. Before installation, the mounting method, the wall surface and the power supply are checked. Letters are labelled and packed in order so that installers can place each one in sequence.
Questions
What did EZ Print print for Shopfront signage client?
Illuminated acrylic channel letters with LED lighting, photographed before installation. The image shows a green letter D with a black side return and visible wiring running to a power connection, lying on a floor, one of a set of letters made for a shopfront sign.
What are illuminated channel letters made from?
They commonly use acrylic faces with metal or acrylic side returns and LED modules inside. The face diffuses the light and the sides give the letter its depth.
How is an LED sign powered?
LED modules run from a low-voltage power supply that converts mains power. The supply is placed near the sign, and wiring is checked before the letters are fixed to the wall.
What do I need to supply for channel letter signs?
Supply the lettering or logo as a vector file, the wall material and size, and the sign position. These allow the maker to plan fixing, wiring and power before fabrication.
Can EZ Print print something similar on a deadline?
Same-day and urgent printing available. Subject to artwork approval, payment, print type and production availability. Timing confirmed per job.
