Plan a stationery set from the documents people actually use. A letterhead needs to work with later correspondence, an envelope needs to fit and present the recipient correctly, and a folder needs to hold the complete pack. Matching colours alone does not resolve those practical requirements.

Start an EZ Print brief with a sample document and a sketch of the finished pack. Show what is printed permanently and what your team adds afterwards.

Identify the second printing step

If your team will add correspondence using an office printer, name the intended process and ask for a compatible construction to be assessed. A sheet intended only for handwriting presents a different request. Do not choose a paper finish without explaining how the stationery will be used later.

Keep the permanent logo and contact block away from the area reserved for variable letter text. Try a short letter and a longer one in the layout. Check continuation pages, signatures and any footer information so a page that looks balanced as a blank template still works with real content.

Fit the envelope to the document

Decide whether the document goes inside flat or folded. Measure the finished enclosure, including additional cards or inserts, and ask for the actual internal fit to be confirmed. Envelope names and nominal dimensions alone do not describe the thickness of a complete pack.

For a window envelope, check where the recipient block falls after the intended fold. Use a physical dummy and move the document within it. The address should remain in the agreed visible area rather than appearing only when the insert is perfectly centred. State whether a window is required at all; a standard reference image cannot decide that detail.

Describe the folder contents

Count the sheets and include the thickest expected combination. If a business card sits in a slot, identify its size and position. Explain whether the folder must travel in an envelope or be handed over directly. A folder that holds the sheets can still be awkward in the outer pack.

Keep pocket edges, folds and slots visible in the reference. Put important text where it remains readable after the pack is assembled. Request the confirmed template before artwork relies on a precise cut or fold position.

Compare a construction rather than a weight alone

Paper weight, thickness and surface are different properties. A manufacturer’s paper data sheet lists grammage and thickness separately. The document illustrates why a weight label is only part of a useful specification; it does not establish that EZ Print supplies that named paper.

Describe the feel, writing requirement and handling you need. If the set must match an existing item, provide a sample or precise reference and explain which aspect matters most. A screen photograph may help discuss appearance but cannot settle every physical difference.

Approve the assembled set

Review the letterhead with text, the folded enclosure in its envelope and the complete folder pack. Check contact information once against the approved company record, then ensure it agrees on every item. A common mistake copied across three products remains a mistake.

Use the product directory to identify the required pieces, then request a quote listing quantities for each one. Ask for fit, subsequent printing and material choices to be confirmed together. This creates a coordinated working set rather than three attractive pieces that do not quite function as a pack.
