- What it is
- A scissor frame that concertinas open, a sewn canopy cut to fit it, and optional printed walls that attach down the legs. It is put up and taken down by two people without tools, and it packs into one wheeled bag. A gazebo graphic is tailoring as much as printing: the canopy is a set of cut panels sewn into a shape, so the artwork has to survive being wrapped over an eave bar and carried around a corner seam. The printed walls hang from the eave and usually carry a weighted hem at the foot.
- What it is printed on
Woven polyester for the canopy and walls, printed by dye sublimation so the colour sits in the fibre and the cloth stays soft enough to be stuffed into a bag repeatedly. A water-resistant coating is normal on the canopy, and it changes how the dye sits, so a coated canopy and an uncoated wall are not always an exact match even on one order — worth knowing before somebody holds them side by side. PVC-coated fabric is the heavier alternative for a windy site and a long campaign. Neither is a sheet the caliper table holds.
- How it feels
- Light and dry, with a faint rustle as it is unfolded. The canopy has more body than a flag cloth because of the coating; the walls are softer and drape. Every seam is a raised ridge a thumb finds immediately, and the eave is the one place the cloth is doubled and stiff enough to stand on its own.
- What it suits
- Roadshows, outdoor markets, food and beverage sampling, sports and community events, and anything that has to be set up on a pavement by two people with no tools and no power. It does not suit an indoor hall with a rigging height limit. It is not a wind-rated structure either, and an unweighted gazebo is the most common and most expensive failure on any outdoor site in this climate.
- Lead time
- Standard turnaround is 7–14 working days. Counted from approved artwork rather than from the enquiry.
- The common mistake
- Putting the logo in the middle of each canopy panel. Standing beside a gazebo you see the valance and the wall; from any distance the roof is foreshortened into a sliver, and from directly underneath it is behind you. The valance is the strip that actually gets read, the back wall is what appears in photographs, and a mark placed near a seam or over the eave bar folds itself out of sight.
Print idea
Branded pop-up gazebo
A folding scissor frame under a printed canopy, with optional printed back and half walls. It goes up without tools on a pavement and packs into a wheeled bag, and the valance does most of the reading.

- The finished drop.
- The visible area.
- The rope and toggles. The edge is loaded at points, so nothing critical goes near it.
- The seam, where the drops join. Anything wider than the web is welded from two drops, and the weld is a line across the artwork.
The specification
Six fields, and the last one is the useful one.
The same six questions are answered for every entry in this section, in the same order, so two objects can be compared without reading two pages of prose. The mistake is stated last and stated plainly, because it is the one that costs a reprint and it is the reason this page is worth sending to a colleague.
Where this sits.
Every entry is indexed three ways, because a buyer arrives knowing the occasion, the object or the material and almost never all three.
