- What it is
- A pull-up stand designed around the second campaign rather than the first. A wider, heavier base with a proper foot or twin legs; a cassette that opens so the graphic can be taken out and a new one put in; and, on the better hardware, a tensioned rail at both ends of the drop instead of a single hook, which is what removes the shallow wave down the face that gives an economy banner away in every photograph. The hardware is bought once; the print is bought every campaign.
- What it is printed on
A heavier blockout roll media, or a woven polyester panel where the stand takes a fabric cassette. Fabric kills reflection completely, which is worth having under the tungsten spill of a hotel foyer or the overhead grid of an exhibition hall, and it folds instead of rolling. Both are laminated or coated on the face; neither is a sheet the caliper table holds.
- How it feels
- Heavier in the hand than an economy stand and noticeably more settled on the floor — push the top and it returns rather than walking sideways. The face is flatter, without the shallow S-curve a single-hook banner develops after a few outings. A fabric face has a dry, matt grain against a fingertip instead of the slick of a film.
- What it suits
- Client-facing foyers, repeated conference programmes, showflats, and any organisation that runs the same display several times a year with a different message on it each time. The whole economic case is reuse: this is the choice when the graphic will be reprinted onto hardware that stays. It does not suit a single-use activation, and it does not suit a courier-only job — the heavy base is the entire point of the product and it weighs what it weighs.
- Lead time
- Standard turnaround is 7–14 working days. Counted from approved artwork rather than from the enquiry.
- The common mistake
- Buying the hardware and the graphic as one thing, then discovering the cassette does not open. Reloadable and disposable stands look near enough identical in a photograph, and the difference only surfaces when the second campaign arrives and the answer is a whole new stand. Ask whether the cassette is designed to be re-graphicked before the first order, not after it — and keep the artwork file, because a reprint onto existing hardware has to match the finished size to the millimetre.
Print idea
Premium pull-up banner
The same idea as a roll-up, built to be reloaded: a heavier base, a cassette that opens, and a tensioned rail top and bottom that takes the wave out of the face.

- The finished drop.
- The visible area.
- The cassette. The foot of the drop is inside the hardware and is printed, paid for and never seen.
- The sightline. Below it is behind whoever is standing at the stand.
The specification
Six fields, and the last one is the useful one.
The same six questions are answered for every entry in this section, in the same order, so two objects can be compared without reading two pages of prose. The mistake is stated last and stated plainly, because it is the one that costs a reprint and it is the reason this page is worth sending to a colleague.
Where this sits.
Every entry is indexed three ways, because a buyer arrives knowing the occasion, the object or the material and almost never all three.
