Define the usable decoration area before finalising artwork for a bag, lanyard or textile accessory. Handles, seams, attachments and the item’s shape can interrupt a layout that looks straightforward on a flat screen. Specify the blank item and the printed area as related decisions.
For an EZ Print enquiry, explain what the item must do in use. Keep the physical components and any decoration scope explicit.
Describe the actual item
Name the proposed construction and provide its reference where known. A canvas bag, non-woven bag and another textile carrier are different requests. State dimensions and colour, and explain whether you need the item assessed for supply or intend to provide an existing blank.
For a lanyard, identify the required attachment and any other components. A strip with printed artwork and a complete assembled lanyard are not the same deliverable. Show the intended use and ask for the actual included parts to be confirmed.
Map seams and attachment areas
Photograph or sketch the finished item with the relevant dimensions. Mark seams, handles, pockets, closures and connectors that affect the proposed design. Ask for the confirmed usable area before choosing a large logo that depends on edge-to-edge placement.
If the design repeats along a narrow strip, show the desired reading direction and spacing. Check what happens at a join or attachment. For a bag, review how the image sits when the bag contains something rather than assuming it stays perfectly flat.
Choose the message for the real format
A narrow lanyard needs a different hierarchy from a wide bag panel. Prioritise the brand or essential identification, then decide whether supporting text remains useful at the intended size. Avoid reducing a full brochure-style contact block until it becomes decoration rather than readable information.
For two printed faces, identify the artwork and orientation of each. State whether the design is the same on both sides or whether each has a distinct purpose. Label every version with its quantity so the final brief describes the requested mix.
Ask about the material and decoration together
A manufacturer’s transfer-selection guide considers fabric in decoration choice. Apply the general principle to the actual proposed item; the listed manufacturer methods do not establish EZ Print capabilities or stock.
Describe desired appearance, handling and any important care expectations. Ask for the complete material, decoration and attachment arrangement to be assessed. Do not infer suitability from a product title or assume that a method used on one textile applies to another.
Review an assembled reference
Look at the proposed artwork in the item’s normal use position. For a lanyard, check whether text becomes inverted after assembly. For a bag, check visibility beside handles and seams. If a clip or other component covers a design area, show it in the approval reference.
Keep the agreed item reference and artwork version together so a repeat enquiry can identify what must match. If you change the fabric, size or attachment, say so explicitly and ask for the revised combination to be assessed.
Browse the product directory and request a quote with item dimensions, component requirements, printed faces, quantities and intended use. Matching reviewed imagery is still an identified gap for some textile items; conceptual artwork communicates the topic without claiming that it depicts an available construction or a real customer order.
