What it measures.
- Size. The trim box of a PDF, or the proportions of an image, against the finished size and the artboard with bleed.
- Bleed. Whether the artwork runs past the trim by the amount the product needs, and whether that bleed is actually filled.
- Resolution. The resolution of every photo at the size it is printed, against the figure for that size.
- Edges and hardware. Detail inside the safe margin, a fold, a hem, a pull-up cassette or rail, or an eyelet corner.
What it leaves to us.
Fonts, overprint, spot colours, rich black builds and colour accuracy cannot be judged reliably in a browser, and the edge checks are a guide rather than a verdict. A clean result here is not an approval: artwork is checked before production, and anything that would print incorrectly is raised with the fix before the job goes on press.
